I was honored to spend the morning learning about the Natick Service Council and taking photographs for them.  Tina, the Director of Development & Outreach gave me a tour of the facility and introduced me to all the amazing volunteers.  I asked Tina to write up a little bit about what the Natick Service Council Does and how the community can help.

Imagine a day where you could not put food on the table for your family.

Imagine a day where you did not have a warm coat in the frigid winter months.

Imagine a day where the electricity costs have risen and you cannot turn a light on in your house.

Imagine the coldest day of the year and you do not have the money to buy more oil for your furnace.

Imagine a day where you cannot pay your rent or mortgage.

Imagine a day when your car breaks down and you do not have the funds to fix it.

We do not have to imagine those days at Natick Service Council, we see them personally through the eyes of our clients. The task seems daunting, the need is great but somehow, one by one, client by client, neighbor by neighbor we get the job done so the unimaginable is tangible for our Natick neighbors in need.  

Imagine that day when there is no worry for the people that struggle to meet their basic needs.

Imagine that day when you are confident that your car will start when you turn the key.

Imagine that day when you can get coached to get a job or get a better job.

The day when the Unimaginable becomes Tangible.

Natick Service Council, the donors, the volunteers and supporters make it happen!

•  Food through the Heart Healthy Food Pantry and Mobile Market.
• Warm Winter Gear and year round clothing through Harriet’s Closet.
• Financial Assistance to those who are struggling with paying the rent, mortgage or managing utility payments.
•  Financial Assistance to those who need their car fixed so they can get to work.
• One-to-one coaching and mentoring in career development.
