Here are some Frequently asked questions about maternity photo sessions.  If you still have questions after reading this feel free to reach out and I would be happy to answer your questions!

When should I book my Maternity Session?

Book your session as soon as possible after you hit the second trimester.  My schedule fills up months in advance, especially in the fall so I want to make sure I get your session on the Calendar!

When should I schedule my Maternity photo session for?

I recommend 30-34 week or if you are having twins 28-32 weeks.

How long is the photo shoot?

Fully Maternity sessions are an hour. If you are booking a newborn session, you can add on a mini maternity session which is 20 minutes.

Is there a discount for booking a maternity and newborn sessions?

I only offer mini maternity sessions to clients who also book newborn sessions.  These are a good option for those who just want a few maternity photos. If you book a full maternity and Newborn session at the same time I will give you 10% off of your maternity session

Will you photograph just me and my bump?

No!  You and your bump will be the focus of the session, but you should definitely bring along your significant other and children.  They are expecting a new family member too!  A maternity photo session is a great way to celebrate your family as it is now and the big change that is about to come with a new baby.

Can our beloved dog be involved?

Absolutely! Fur babies are most welcome. This blog has some tips for including dogs in sessions.

What should we wear to our Maternity Photo Session?

I love flowy dresses!  They are flattering for almost all body types, add great movement and texture to photos and are great for showing off your baby bump. When you you book with me I will send you tips on dressing the whole family and will help you choose outfits. I have a client closet that you can borrow from!

Do you photograph Maternity sessions all year long?

Yes!  If you want to get out in the snow I will too :). Another option is a cozy at home maternity session?
