I had a great morning chatting with Kate while she worked on a custom order wreath. I love her idea of a grinch service where she helps clean up all the holiday decor after the new year.
What brought you to opening your Natick business?
Re-claiming my time after the pandemic is a huge driver. Throughout my whole life I enjoy decorating for holidays, and more recently honing my floral design skills. The natural beauty in Natick is an inspiration, as is the town itself.
What is something that makes Kate of Natick special?
Everything I do is one-of-a-kind. I take pride in designing for you keeping your home and tastes in mind. If I’m in your home helping with holiday decor or a seasonal swap, people say “everyone should have a friend like Kate!” I am efficient and detail-oriented with a goal of making life a little easier, and enjoyable.
What might people not know about you or your business that you would want them to know?
I offer different seasonal “things” be it wreaths, planters, or holiday set-up assistance, but I’m always open to being approached with a particular need or desire to bring to life.
Do you have any holiday specials?
This is the first year that I’m offering Kate the Grinch. Essentially I put away and organize your Christmas tree decorations, along with any other in-home help you might need to put away holiday decorations. I got the idea because more than a few friends were complaining about this deep into January last year.
What is something you love about Natick or your favorite spot in Natick?
I live in the center, so the walkability, weekly farmer’s market, and artistic presence is a gift. Broadmoor, Bacon Library and the Community Organic Farm have special memories for my family. As for a favorite spot, it would have to be my cozy home, especially the front porch where we watch the seasons change.
