Newborn photo sessions have a little bit of everything—love, snuggles, play, and all the sweet in-between moments. This family’s session was the perfect example. Big brother couldn’t have been more loving with his new baby sister, giving her hugs and kisses before taking well-deserved breaks to color and jump on the bed. It was such a joy to see big brother balance his excitement and tenderness in his own way.

One of my favorite parts of newborn sessions is weaving in details that are personal and meaningful. For this family, that included her soft purple outfit and a gorgeous quilted blanket, both of which added such a special touch to the photos. These little pieces tell the story of her early days and make the images even more treasured.

Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do—capturing both the quiet snuggles and the playful chaos that make these newborn days so memorable.
