DanceFIT was a ray of sunshine for my family during all the darkness of COVID-19.  Two of my daughters participated in virtual ballet.  These classes gave our week some much needed structure, but they are also so much fun.  Finding time for self care for myself isn’t always easy, but I have begun trying out different DanceFIT adult virtual classes and have loved them all so far.  I always end the class feeling so thankful that I carved out a little time to do something for myself.  This fall, my youngest and I started participating in their Tippy Toes class.  It is always a highlight of our week.  We loved DanceFIT even before COVID-19, but I am so thankful for Gina and her amazing team of teachers keeping our spirits lifted and bodies moving during the pandemic.

I am so excited to start off my Natick Small Business Spotlight by featuring a DanceFIT, a business and community near and dear to my heart.  Here is what Gina Fay, owner of DanceFIT had to say about her business and Natick Massachusetts.

 

What brought you to DanceFIT in Natick MA?

It’s just a great community! I lived in Natick for a few years and still have family in town. I love the active community. Natick is always celebrating the arts, has so much to offer for families, and on top of all that has a beautiful town center.

What is something that makes DanceFIT special?

DanceFIT is a boutique dance studio where we know everyone’s name. Our families, dancers, fitness clients, and teachers make DanceFIT the special place that it is. Our mission is to make dance & fitness FUN. We know this will result in so many benefits long after the client or student walks out our doors! We strive to create an environment for dancers where they ask, “Do I get to go to DanceFIT today?”. The goal for our young dancers isn’t perfect technique, the goal is to foster a lifelong love of dance. The feel of our classes is always happy and fun with great music and imaginative curriculum.

Our fitness classes are also very special; this is 100% because of our amazingly kind & knowledgeable teachers and welcoming clientele. The DanceFIT community is so motivating and supportive of each other and this reaches well beyond just our studio in Natick.

We offer indoor, outdoor & virtual classes, as well as classes at our newest studio in Sherborn! We have even held special events in our client’s backyards. Did I mention our clients are amazing?! Our classes feature fun music, great energy, and welcome all fitness & dance abilities. We offer a variety of classes on our curated schedule :

What might people not know about you or your business that you would want them to know ?

Running DanceFIT is truly a dream job in so many ways. I opened DanceFIT more than 15 years ago and love how it has evolved, grown and has become a special place to so many families, dancers and clients.

I always wish I could share the behind the scenes work and prep the DanceFIT teachers and staff do to create our awesome schedules, events, curriculum, social media presence & classes. The DanceFIT team is a group of highly motivated, creative, intelligent, fun & active women and I am so lucky we all get to work together. A huge thank you to Amanda, our Children’s Dance Director, Sandra, Fitness Manager, & Brianna, Social Media Manager for being such an incredible team to work with!

Not yet, but stay tuned….we always celebrate Small Business Saturday!

What is something you love about Natick MA or your favorite spot in Natick?

I love having cute little restaurants like Dates & Olives, The Bagel Table and places to grab a cup of coffee after dance. The farmers market is amazing and I LOVE the summer nights that the Natick Cultural District puts on (thank you Athena for inviting DanceFIT to participate in these). My favorite shop in Natick Center is Baylee Bee. I love the owners, the clothes, and having a place to shop so close to home!
