Newborn sessions are such a fun way to connect with new parents. We often talk about how the first few weeks/months are going. Parenting, especially for first-time parents, can be overwhelming, and the right kind of support can make such a difference! I love being able to share helpful resources with parents that I’ve found through other clients or branding sessions. I’ve come across so many through all of you!
I know how helpful it can be to get a recommendation for resources related to sleep, feeding, or really anything to make the early years a bit easier as you adjust to your first child, second, or third…. Each child is so different, and you find different things work, so I started a series highlighting local providers and services focused on helping newborns and parents.
Today I am introducing DanceFIT Studios, a local children and adult’s dance studio right here in Natick, with a second location down the road in Sherborn. Why is a dance studio included in a new and expectant mom resource list? They have a prenatal/babywearing TONE class, perfect for moms who want to workout throughout their pregnancy or want to workout after with their baby. Getting away to workout with a new baby isn’t always easy, but their class gives you a chance to workout while bonding with your baby. DanceFIT is known for their welcoming community that supports everyone no matter what level they are. Their teachers will work with pregnant women, as well as any one for that matter, to adjust movements and make modifications based on your body’s needs.

What services does DanceFIT Studio offer to new moms and expectant moms?
We teach a beautiful class at our Sherborn studio called Prenatal / Babywearing TONE. This is a very special class for mom and baby to spend with each other toning, dancing, bonding and meeting other new or expecting moms. You will enjoy a low impact-toning workout while your baby gets to experience all of your movements, rocking motions, fun music and special time close to you. In TONE you will focus on building a strong postpartum body with a safe mix of Pilates and barre inspired exercises in this upbeat and graceful class all while wearing your little one!
Why are your services important/helpful for new and expectant moms?
DanceFIT prides itself on fostering a warm, supportive and motivating environment. As a new mom it’s vital to venture out, connect with peers, and engage in physical activity. At DanceFIT, you’ll enjoy a special opportunity to nurture yourself while having your little one by your side.
What’s the best piece of advice you got as a new or expectant mom or advice that you would give to a new or expectant mom?
Take care of yourself! Self-care and movement can lower stress levels, increase energy and make you stronger mentally, emotionally and physically which means you’ll be more able to deal with any situation. Your children are like sponges, soaking up everything they see and experience. When they see their mom dedicating time to movement, they’re learning some priceless life skills.
