The wind may have been fierce and the air chilly, but nothing could overshadow the warmth and love between these two as they awaited the arrival of their little one. Their maternity session took place at the Ashland Reservoir, right on the bridge—a spot that brought so much natural beauty and quiet intimacy to their photos. Watching them embrace this season of life with such joy—wrapped in cozy layers and each other’s arms—was truly something special.

Fast forward a few weeks, and I had the absolute joy of stepping into their home to capture the next chapter: life with their newborn in their arms.

From brisk walks on the bridge to cozy in-home snuggles, this journey with them has been such a privilege to witness. We chatted about birth stories, newborn rhythms, and the wild, beautiful rollercoaster of those early weeks—equal parts messy and magical.

One of my favorite parts? Their sweet pup was right there for it all—first, trotting alongside them on the bridge during their maternity session, and later, curled up protectively beside the baby at home. Including pets in both sessions made their story feel even more complete, a reminder of the quiet, loyal love that surrounds a growing family.
