Being a Natick Newborn Photographer, some sessions just stay with me, and this family is one of them.

I have been photographing them since their oldest was a newborn. Getting to come back year after year and see how a family grows is one of the parts of this work that means the most to me. It feels like catching up with old friends while also documenting a new chapter in their story.

When I arrived for this session, big brother ran right up to the door to greet me. Before we even started taking photos he was excited to show me his collection of toy cars. Moments like that make me smile so much. Seeing how comfortable he is with me in his home reminds me how meaningful it is to build relationships with the families I photograph.

Of course their dog made sure to be part of the session too. He wandered in and out of photos, curled up nearby during the quiet moments, and happily joined the family whenever he could. Honestly, a session with this family would not feel complete without him.

The newborn days are always so tender. There is a softness in the house, a slower pace, and so many little moments unfolding all at once. A proud big brother checking on the baby, parents soaking in those first days as a family of four, and a home that already feels full of love.

Being invited back into families’ homes during this time is something I never take for granted. These early days pass quickly, but photographs allow families to return to them again and again.

I am so thankful for families like this who trust me to document their lives as they grow. Watching their story unfold has truly been an honor.  Thank you for choosing me to be your Natick Newborn Photographer.
