I first met this family a little over a year ago during their maternity session, and it’s been such a joy to document their story as it unfolds. From those first quiet moments waiting for their baby’s arrival to now celebrating his first birthday, it’s such a privilege to be invited back to capture each stage.

One of my favorite parts about photographing this family is their sweet pup, who has been along for every session. I love when pets are included—they bring such warmth and authenticity, and it’s clear this pup is just as much a part of the family’s story.

Now their little one is already a year old, and it’s amazing to see how much he has grown. During our session, he was so curious and full of personality, soaking up every new experience—the wind blowing ahead of an approaching storm, the texture of the grass, the crunch of the leaves. Those little discoveries are such a big part of this age, and they make the photos even more meaningful.
