There’s something truly magical about welcoming a newborn (or two!) into a family. Recently, I had the joy of photographing a twin newborn photo session featuring the sweetest set of twins and their adoring toddler big sister. From the moment I walked in, the home was filled with warmth, love, and that wonderful energy that comes with a growing family.

One of the things I love most about lifestyle sessions is their natural, unposed feel. This session was a perfect example of that. Mom and Dad were so laid back, embracing the beautiful chaos that comes with having a toddler and newborn twins. They went with the flow, which made for the most authentic, heartwarming moments.

Big sister was an absolute delight—curious, playful, and so full of love for her new siblings. She happily snuggled up next to them, giving them gentle kisses and giggling as she played peek-a-boo. Those in-between moments, where she would reach for their tiny fingers or whisper something to mom or dad, were pure magic.

At one point, the whole family gathered on the ground of the nursery to read a book together. It was such a sweet, quiet moment of togetherness—big sister listening intently while the twins rested peacefully nearby. These small, everyday moments are what make lifestyle sessions so special.

The twins, snug in their parents’ arms, were calm and content, occasionally stretching or letting out a little yawn. It was clear how much love surrounded them. Mom and Dad took turns soaking in all the newborn cuddles, their faces filled with joy and admiration. I couldn’t help but think about how these images would be treasured for years to come—a beautiful reminder of these fleeting, tender days.

With twins and a toddler, there were plenty of moments when an extra set of hands was needed, and I was more than happy to step in and help with the babies. I loved the extra snuggles and being able to lend a hand when needed. It’s all part of creating a relaxed and enjoyable experience for the family.

What made this twin newborn photo session even more special was the laughter that filled the home. There were playful tickles, silly faces, and moments of pure connection. It was a reminder that amidst the sleepless nights and endless diaper changes, there is so much joy in this season of life.

Lifestyle newborn photography is all about capturing these real, unscripted moments—the love, the tenderness, the beautifully imperfect chaos. This session was a perfect reflection of that, and I feel so grateful to have been invited to document it.
