One of my favorite techniques as a Natick newborn photographer is using a plain white onesie as the sole wardrobe choice for newborn sessions. At first glance, it might seem mundane, but trust me. There’s something incredibly special about it. By eliminating the distraction of elaborate outfits, we’re able to focus entirely on the baby and all their little details.

A white onesie serves as the perfect canvas to highlight the tiny fingers and toes, and the adorable little wrinkles that make each newborn unique. There’s a purity and timelessness to these images that simply can’t be replicated with flashy props or elaborate costumes.

It’s not just about the aesthetic appeal. It’s also about creating a comfortable and stress-free environment for both the baby and their parents. Without the fuss of changing outfits or adjusting props, we’re able to keep the focus where it truly belongs: on capturing those fleeting moments of love, joy, and connection.
